St. John's Rectory
Dear Chris,
I'm writing to let you know how very grateful the Vestry is for the outstanding job you did renovating the St. John's Church Rectory. There were three areas where I was particularly appreciative of your professionalism: the flexibility you demonstrated during the entire renovation; the high quality of work performed by you and your sub-contractors; and finally, the personal attention you gave to the project.
Certainly renovating an historic house in Southampton Village (that had virtually not been touched in at least a quarter century) demanded enormous flexibility. From the initial first week discovery of rotting bathroom floors to the mid-point decision to remove an entire entrance, this project was full of surprises! But not only did you keep your equanimity, you kept within budget, balancing overages with economies to make sure we were never overspending. And, in spite of a winter of inclement and often harsh weather, the renovation was completed on time.
The Rectory now is a real showpiece for the Church and will certainly help us attract a new minister. The new windows that you sourced and had installed, for example, are both beautiful and highly functional - a perfect example of quality materials and labor that is evident throughout the house.
Chris, you returned every call within minutes; you were on site every day; your paperwork was prompt and there was never a moment of downtime from start to finish - there was always someone working to move the project forward.
We are beyond delighted with the renovation and are enormously grateful for all you did to make it happen. It is an excellent example of your work ethic: high quality, efficient, cost effective and creative. You were a pleasure to work with and I hope there will be an opportunity for us to work together again. I would happily serve as a reference for anyone wishing to hire you as a general contractor for their project.
Sincerely,
Cindy Willis
